Huaneng Power (00902) has announced that in the third quarter of 2025, its operational power plants in China generated a total of 125.768 billion kWh of electricity, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 3.67%. For the first three quarters of 2025, the cumulative electricity generation from these plants amounted to 331.451 billion kWh, down 2.87% compared to the previous year. The average on-grid settlement price of electricity from these plants for the first three quarters of 2025 was RMB 478.71 per MWh, a decrease of 3.54% year-on-year. The share of electricity generated through market transactions during the first three quarters was 85.00%, marking a decline of 2.06 percentage points from the same period last year. The primary reason for the decrease in electricity generation is the company's ongoing commitment to a green, low-carbon transition, which has led to continuous growth in wind and solar installed capacity, bolstering the year-on-year growth of renewable energy generation. However, factors such as relaxed supply and demand, along with increased competition from renewable energy installations, have contributed to a decline in coal-based electricity generation year-on-year. In the third quarter of 2025, the market share of electricity generation from the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Tuas Power in Singapore, was 17.81%, down 0.79 percentage points year-on-year. For the first three quarters of 2025, Tuas Power's cumulative market share was 18.31%, a decline of 1.29 percentage points compared to the previous year.
