Postal Savings Bank Decides to Maintain Current Deposit Agency Fee Rate After Automatic Adjustment Trigger

Postal Savings Bank Of China Co., Ltd. (PSBC) announced on September 21 via financial market news that the deposit agency fee rate for its RMB personal deposit business, conducted with its controlling shareholder China Post Group, has triggered the passive adjustment mechanism.

This activation occurred because the average net interest margin of the four major banks in 2025 is projected at 1.15%, which falls below the passive adjustment floor of 1.37%.

Given that the fee rate has already been adjusted for three consecutive years, the current rate is considered to largely reflect changes in the interest rate environment. Following consultation, the bank plans to maintain the existing deposit agency fee rate.

This related-party transaction has been reviewed and approved by the company's board of directors and the special committee of independent directors. Related directors have abstained from voting. The transaction is deemed fair and reasonable, with no circumstances that would harm the interests of minority shareholders.
