On December 30, Hang Seng Indexes Company announced that, according to the scheme document dated December 15, 2025, regarding the proposal to privatize Hang Seng Bank (00011) by way of a scheme of arrangement under Section 673 of the Companies Ordinance, the scheme is conditional upon, among other things, approval at the Court Meeting and the Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled for January 8, 2026.

If the scheme is approved at the aforementioned meetings, the shares of Hang Seng Bank are expected to be delisted from the Stock Exchange, with the last trading day being Wednesday, January 14, 2026.

Subject to the relevant approvals and based on the current timetable set out in the scheme document, Hang Seng Bank will be removed from the following indices and their sector sub-indices after the market close on January 14, 2026, using that day's closing price.

The changes will take effect from January 15, 2026.
