Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd. reported a 22% increase in quarterly sales as global tech companies accelerated the construction of artificial intelligence data centers. The primary server assembly partner for Nvidia announced on Monday that its sales for the quarter ending in December reached NT$26 trillion (US$826 billion). Analysts had, on average, anticipated sales of approximately NT$24 trillion. Chip companies, including Nvidia and its memory partner Micron Technology, have recently reaffirmed expectations that AI demand will remain robust in the coming quarters. In November, Nvidia stated that sales for the January quarter would be around US$65 billion, surpassing analyst expectations by about US$3 billion. The chipmaker also indicated it is on track to achieve US$500 billion in revenue in future quarters, a figure that could potentially be even higher than projected. However, concerns about an AI bubble persist. Investors remain apprehensive that the hundreds of billions of dollars large tech firms have pledged to invest in AI infrastructure may not yield immediate returns.
