BAY AREA DEV (00737) announced that following public tender and bidding procedures conducted through the Guangzhou Public Resource Trading Center, on September 26, 2025 (after trading hours), Guangshen-Zhu Company entered into the following mechanical and electrical engineering construction contracts with contractors for the mechanical and electrical engineering construction work related to the approved road section reconstruction and expansion project: 1. Signed a mechanical and electrical engineering construction contract (JD1 section) with Guangdong Xinyue, with a contract value of RMB 422 million; and 2. Signed a mechanical and electrical engineering construction contract (JD2 section) with Beijing Gongke Feida, with a contract value of RMB 289 million.
The mechanical and electrical engineering construction contract (JD1 section) involves Guangdong Xinyue (as contractor) undertaking the construction of toll systems, monitoring systems and communication systems, as well as communication pipeline engineering, for a road section from K2+270 to K71+130.658 (excluding Luogang Interchange, Xintang Interchange, Huocun and Xinlian interchange hub areas), with a total length of approximately 68.861 kilometers, and coordinating the joint commissioning and testing of mechanical and electrical systems.
The mechanical and electrical engineering construction contract (JD2 section) involves Beijing Gongke Feida (as contractor) undertaking the construction of power supply and distribution (including external power supply) and lighting systems for a road section from K2+270 to K71+130.658 (excluding Luogang Interchange, Xintang Interchange, Huocun and Xinlian interchange hub areas), with a total length of approximately 68.861 kilometers.
Investment, construction, operation and maintenance of highways is one of the Group's principal businesses. The signing of mechanical and electrical engineering construction contracts (JD1 and JD2 sections) is part of implementing the approved road section reconstruction and expansion project. The implementation of the approved road section reconstruction and expansion project will help enhance the traffic capacity and service level of the approved road section, strengthen the Group's core competitiveness in the toll road industry, and align with the Group's development strategy.
