McDonald's China Founding Member Zhong Caimin and Former Sunac Strategic Investment GM Ma Li Appointed Executive Directors of Grace Wine

Grace Wine Holdings Limited (08146.HK) announced on Wednesday (September 23) that Mr. Ma Li and Mr. Zhong Caimin have been appointed as executive directors, effective from September 23, 2026.

Mr. Zhao Guodong has tendered his resignation as a non-executive director, effective from September 23, 2026.

The biographical details of the two newly appointed directors are set out below:

Mr. Zhong Caimin, aged 56, has been appointed as an executive director effective from September 23, 2026. Mr. Zhong possesses extensive experience in the investment, catering, and food industries.

Between 1991 and 2003, Mr. Zhong worked at McDonald's China, serving as one of the founding members of McDonald's China. During his tenure, he was responsible for teaching at McDonald's Hamburger University in the Asia region and established the operational system for McDonald's China.

Between 2004 and 2006, Mr. Zhong served as a director and general manager of Beijing Huangjihuang Catering Management Co., Ltd.

Between 2010 and 2012, he served as a director and president of Country Style Cooking International Fast Food Chain Co., Ltd.

As an investor, Mr. Zhong primarily focuses on the chain catering and internet industries, and has led or participated in investments in Xiaozhu Charlie, Fujian Wallace Food Co., Ltd., Country Style Cooking International Fast Food Chain Co., Ltd., Atlantic Future Food (Hong Kong) Limited, and Global Food Hong Kong Limited.

Since 2005, Mr. Zhong has served as an EMBA lecturer at institutions of higher education including Peking University and Tsinghua University, teaching courses related to chain operations and investment. He has also served as a research fellow at the Cross-Strait Economic Development Research Center of Tsinghua University and as the director of the China Catering Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

He has authored several books, including "Chain Operations – Strategic Decision Edition," "Conflict Management," "High-Performance Team Building," and "Exceptional Leadership."

Mr. Zhong obtained a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine from China Agricultural University in 1990.

Mr. Ma Li, aged 46, has been appointed as an executive director effective from September 23, 2026. Mr. Ma possesses over 23 years of experience in industrial investment, capital markets, and asset management, having worked at leading CVC platforms, securities and investment banks, and large industrial conglomerates.

He has extensive expertise in industrial fund operations, asset management, mergers and acquisitions, IPO incubation, market value management, and distressed asset restructuring, and possesses experience in team management and capital market resource integration.

Mr. Ma's industry experience covers new energy, high-end manufacturing, computing power, and consumer liquor sectors. He has managed capital projects totaling tens of billions of RMB and has maintained a solid risk management track record throughout his career.

Mr. Ma previously served as deputy general manager of the strategic investment department at Telling Telecommunication Holding (000829.SZ). Prior to that, from January 2024 to December 2024, he served as managing director of investment banking at Pacific Securities (601099.SH).

From May 2017 to October 2023, he served as general manager of the investment department at Sunac China Holdings Limited (01918.HK). From March 2015 to April 2017, he served as general manager of the department at Zhongxin Rongchuang Capital Management Co., Ltd.

From October 2011 to February 2012, he served as a senior investment manager at Legend Holdings (03396.HK) and Joyvio Group.

From June 2009 to October 2011, he served as an investment supervisor at China Foods (00506.HK).

Mr. Ma completed a full-time MBA program at the China Center for Economic Research at Peking University in 2009, and obtained a bachelor's degree in automation from North China University of Technology in 2003.
