Three A-share companies have issued announcements to clarify their limited connection to the solid-state battery theme after their shares drew heavy market attention and posted sharp gains.

The solid-state battery concept has recently become a hot spot in the capital markets, with many related stocks climbing noticeably. The attention followed the joint release on September 28 of the "15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the New Battery Industry" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and seven other departments, which stated that by 2030 China will make major progress in the research and development of new-system batteries and that all-solid-state batteries will initially achieve large-scale application.

Time Wanheng said its products do not involve solid-state batteries. On September 30 and October 8, the company's closing price deviation over two consecutive trading days exceeded 20%, a pattern that constitutes abnormal stock trading volatility under the relevant rules of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. On October 9, Time Wanheng hit the daily limit again. In its announcement, the company said its share price has fluctuated sharply in the short term and that irrational speculation and similar situations may exist. It stated that its lithium battery products are small-power cylindrical ternary lithium batteries, that its main products and production lines have not changed, and that it is not involved in solid-state batteries. At present, Time Wanheng's lithium battery products are mainly used in small electric tools, with 1865 and 1450 battery types as its main products, while its nickel-metal hydride battery products are mainly used in personal care, civilian consumer goods and electric tools.

Zizhu Gaoke said its related business is still in the early exploration and research and development stage. On October 8 and October 9, the company's closing price deviation over two consecutive trading days exceeded 20%, which constitutes abnormal stock trading volatility under the relevant rules of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Zizhu Gaoke said in its announcement that it has noticed that the solid-state battery concept has recently drawn widespread market attention, but that its aluminum-plastic film products for lithium batteries and the related business under that concept are still in the early exploration and research and development stage. The announcement said that in the future there is significant uncertainty over when Zizhu Gaoke's aluminum-plastic film products and the business related to the solid-state battery concept can achieve productization and provide stable large-scale revenue.

Fengyuan Shares said its main business does not involve battery production. On October 8 and October 9, the company's closing price deviation exceeded 20%, which constitutes abnormal stock trading volatility under the relevant rules of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Fengyuan Shares said in its announcement that it has noticed high market attention on the solid-state battery concept recently, but that its main business is currently lithium-ion battery cathode materials and oxalic acid, does not involve battery production, and generates no related business revenue. At present, Fengyuan Shares has made forward-looking research and development arrangements in the field of solid-state battery cathode materials and has taken a stake in a producer in the solid-state battery field, but the shareholding ratio is relatively low and is not included in the scope of consolidated statements, so it will not have a major impact on the company's current main business or operating performance.
