Qualcomm ​forecast third-quarter results below expectations, but CEO Cristiano Amon's upbeat comments on a recovery in its core smartphone business ‌and data center opportunities pushed its shares up 12.9% in overnight trading.

Alphabet topped Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue, as enterprise spending on ​artificial intelligence delivered the best quarter of growth for its cloud unit since the start of the AI boom. Shares of the company jumped 7.1% in overnight trading.

Amazon reported cloud sales growth above Wall Street expectations, driven by strong enterprise spending as companies continue to devote ‌tremendous resources to their artificial intelligence efforts. The shares rose 2.9% in overnight trading.

KLA Corp forecast quarterly revenue above estimates. However, shares of the Milpitas, California-based company fell 5.9% in overnight trading, with some analysts saying the market had expected a ​higher guidance.

Meta Platforms raised its annual capital spending forecast, plowing billions more into artificial intelligence infrastructure even ​as it grapples with possible losses from a global youth social media backlash. The shares sank 6.8% in overnight trading.
