VENUS MEDTECH-B (02500) announced that on June 9, 2025, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a ruling affirming the validity of certain claims within U.S. Patent No. 10,702,385 ("Heart Valve Implant"), owned by Cardiovalve Ltd., which Edwards Lifesciences Corp. and Edwards Lifesciences LLC (collectively, "Edwards") had previously challenged in an inter partes review proceeding initiated in June 2021. On January 14, 2026, Cardiovalve Ltd. and MTH IP, L.P. filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Edwards in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware concerning U.S. Patent No. 385, alleging that Edwards' core product, the PASCAL Precision Transcatheter Valve Repair System, infringes upon the patent held by Cardiovalve Ltd. As the litigation is still in its preliminary stages, further details, including the potential amount of damages sought, remain contingent upon the outcome of the proceedings.
