On April 11th, XIAO NOODLES issued an apology letter addressing an incident involving actor Lü Yan. The actor had been refused extra scallions while dining at one of its restaurants.

XIAO NOODLES stated that its serving counters consistently provide condiments such as scallions, cilantro, peanuts, and crispy beans for customers to add freely. Garlic cloves are also available upon request, which is a long-standing service standard that has never changed. The company clarified that the employee's response in this instance was inconsistent with company policy, representing an individual oversight in service execution and communication, for which the company takes full responsibility. Following the incident, the company immediately reiterated and emphasized service protocols to all staff, mandating that stores must proactively fulfill any customer requests for additional condiments and are not permitted to refuse them.

Recently, actor Lü Yan posted a video on a social media platform stating that he was denied extra scallions at the counter while eating at XIAO NOODLES. A staff member reportedly told him, "It's not self-service, so you can't add more."
