Hainan Meilan International Airport Company Limited (Meilan Airport) announced an additional delay in sending out the shareholder circular related to its framework agreements and non-exempt continuing connected transactions.

The company had previously committed to despatch the document on or before 5 June 2026. Owing to the need for extra time to finalise key information—most notably the Independent Financial Adviser’s letter of advice—the mailing date is now pushed back to on or before 18 June 2026.

The postponed circular will contain: 1) detailed terms of the non-exempt continuing connected transactions, 2) the Independent Financial Adviser’s recommendations to the Independent Board Committee and independent shareholders, 3) the Independent Board Committee’s opinion, and 4) the notice convening an extraordinary general meeting.

The announcement was authorised by Chairman Wang Hong on 5 June 2026. The board currently comprises three executive directors, three non-executive directors, four independent non-executive directors, and one employee director.
