Recently, Gotion High-Tech Co., Ltd., whose global headquarters is located in Jiading, launched construction of its first batch of large-scale 6GWh battery energy storage projects in Saudi Arabia, which will provide a full set of energy storage solutions for three major energy storage sites in the country.

In response to the core needs of extreme local operating conditions and long-term operation, Gotion High-Tech tailored an integrated full-scenario energy storage system solution, with the latest self-developed energy storage system at its core.

This system is like putting a "constant-temperature protective armor" on the energy storage station. Relying on precise temperature control technology, the equipment can operate stably across an ultra-wide temperature range from -30 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius. "Coupled with modular integrated design, an intelligent battery management system, and a dedicated high-temperature and sandstorm protection plan, it is equivalent to adding another layer of 'wind and sand protection coat.' Even with sand filling the sky and sudden temperature changes, the energy storage system can still operate steadily, comprehensively ensuring the safe and long-term operation of the project," introduced Li Zhen, Chairman of Gotion High-Tech.

According to the introduction, after the project is completed and put into operation, it can centrally store surplus photovoltaic power during the day and release electricity in an orderly manner during peak power consumption periods, effectively bridging the timing mismatch between renewable energy generation and electricity demand, significantly improving the local Saudi power grid's absorption level and flexible regulation capacity for renewable energy, and providing solid support for the stable operation of the regional new-type power system.
