Cutia Therapeutics’ BLA for CU-20101 Botulinum Toxin Accepted by China’s NMPA

09/03

Hong Kong-listed Cutia Therapeutics announced that the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has formally accepted the Biologics License Application for CU-20101, a botulinum toxin type A injectable aimed at improving moderate to severe glabellar lines.

CU-20101 is produced without animal-derived materials or human serum albumin, removing the risk of transmissible spongiform encephalopathies and related allergic reactions. Management highlights this manufacturing approach as a potential safety advantage over existing alternatives.

The candidate will broaden Cutia Therapeutics’ dermatological portfolio and is expected to create commercial synergies with the Group’s current skin-care products, supporting efforts to increase market share within China’s aesthetic and therapeutic skin treatment segment.

The company underscores that regulatory acceptance does not guarantee eventual approval or commercialisation. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
