A 110-megawatt agricultural photovoltaic project in Weining County, Guizhou, has been successfully connected to the grid at full capacity. The project, undertaken by the Bureau 5 Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of PowerChina, passed all grid connection tests with precise performance metrics on September 9.

As a key initiative under Guizhou's 14th Five-Year Plan, the project is situated in Bandi Township, Weining County, Bijie City. The direct current (DC) side component capacity reaches approximately 131.17 megawatts, employing a strategy of segmented power generation with centralized grid integration. The installation utilizes high-efficiency N-type 580-watt peak bifacial double-glass modules, mounted at an optimal 20-degree tilt angle using a combination of fixed and flexible support structures.

Now operating at full capacity, the solar farm is projected to generate around 130 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. This output is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 100,000 tonnes each year, significantly bolstering the province's push towards high-quality new energy development.
