Mapletree Logistics Trust (M44U) announced on Mar, 10 2026 that it and wholly owned subsidiary MapletreeLog Malaysia Holdings Pte. Ltd. have appealed against notices from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia covering the years 2015 to 2021.

The notices seek about RM28.1 million, or roughly 9.1 million Singapore dollars, chiefly for withholding tax on past interest payments from special-purpose vehicles Semangkuk Berhad and Semangkuk 2 Berhad to the two entities.

The Malaysian High Court has granted an interim stay, and the disputed amount has not been paid. Mapletree Logistics Trust said it has already made accounting provisions but does not expect any payment, if required, to have a material impact on the trust.
