The first "Wumart+" store in Tianjin is scheduled to officially open on September 29 in the Xinan Jiao commercial district, according to Beijing Daily.
Following multiple locations in Beijing's core urban areas where the format was refined and its business model validated, "Wumart+" will continue expanding to more cities throughout September and October, entering Tianjin, Hangzhou, Yinchuan, and other cities, extending its reach across East China and Northwest China.
Centered on standardized operations, convenient services, and consistently affordable pricing, "Wumart+" is replicating a community shopping experience where residents can buy everything they need for three daily meals right downstairs.
On September 29, the first Tianjin "Wumart+" store will officially open in the Xinan Jiao commercial district, marking the brand's first stop outside Beijing.
The Tianjin store follows the standard Beijing store format and leverages the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei shared supply chain to achieve direct sourcing from production areas and direct factory supply. The number of intermediate distribution layers has been compressed from the traditional five to six down to two, allowing terminal prices to directly benefit local residents.
At the same time, the store has optimized its product selection to align with local Tianjin consumer habits. The breakfast counter introduces local favorites such as jianbing guozi and guobacai, while the fresh produce section adds leafy vegetables preferred by Tianjin households, filling the gap in community convenience retail in the old city area.
