2025/10/24

China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited (Stock Code: 01258) released its operational data for the nine months ended 30 September 2025. Copper cathode production rose 12% year-on-year to approximately 107,663 tonnes, reaching 77% of the annual plan. Blister copper and copper anodes grew 7% to approximately 307,573 tonnes, likewise achieving 77% of yearly guidance. Sulphuric acid output edged up 2% to around 788,339 tonnes, while cobalt production declined 12% to about 676 tonnes. Liquid sulphur dioxide output stood at 1,442 tonnes, representing a 90% drop and meeting 14% of the year’s target.

Different subsidiaries showed varied performance. NFCA registered a slight decrease in copper anode production, and SML faced a significant drop in copper outputs following a tailings pond incident. Luanshya recorded an uptick in both cathode and anode volumes, and CNMC Huachin Mabende nearly doubled its cathode production, primarily due to improved power supply. Huachin Leach also reported growth in both cathodes and cobalt. Lualaba Copper Smelter’s blister copper output grew 28% owing to stable operations and ample material supply, while Kambove Mining adjusted its cobalt production model in response to export constraints.

Profit attributable to owners of the company is expected to reach around US$356 million, marking a 13% increase over the same period last year. The higher global copper price and expanded copper cathode production contributed to the rise in financial performance.
