ISP Holdings Limited announced that the Hong Kong High Court has issued its first-phase judgment in the litigation between its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, ISP Construction (Engineering) Limited (ISPCE), and ATAL Engineering Limited regarding an outstanding claim of approximately HK$98.50 million.
\n\nKey findings from the judgment dated 21 July 2026 are as follows: 1. The Court ruled that ATAL Engineering repudiated the contract. 2. ISPCE is entitled to payment related to its acceleration claim. 3. ISPCE’s claim for prolongation costs was not proven. 4. The Court dismissed ATAL Engineering’s counterclaim in full.
\n\nThe case, filed on 20 December 2022 under High Court action HCCT 116/2022, concerns additional works performed and costs incurred by ISPCE. The trial has been bifurcated. While liability issues have now been partly resolved in ISPCE’s favor, the quantum of recoverable sums will be determined during the second part of the hearing scheduled for August 2026.
\n\nGiven that the financial impact cannot yet be quantified, ISP Holdings stated it will issue further updates in accordance with Hong Kong listing regulations. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company’s shares.
