Occidental Petroleum (NYSE:OXY) reported quarterly earnings of $0.80 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $0.70 by 14.29 percent. This is a 8.11 percent increase over earnings of $0.74 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $6.837 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $7.054 billion by 3.08 percent. This is a 9.19 percent decrease over sales of $7.529 billion the same period last year.
