Shares of HANS CNC (03200) experienced a notable increase of more than 8% during the morning trading session. At the time of writing, the stock was up 8.3% to HK$167, with a trading turnover reaching HK$201 million.

The positive movement coincides with the grand opening of the Tokyo Electronic Circuit Industry Exhibition. HANS CNC is participating with the theme "Light Enables New Life, Intelligence Leads to New Frontiers," showcasing its innovative laser solutions at the event.

The company is a pioneer in promoting new laser technology within the industry. Its approach utilizes extremely high energy density to perform "cold processing," which avoids thermal damage to products. This method achieves processing results free of residual copper and adhesive, significantly improving product yield rates.

A research report from Citi highlighted that HANS CNC has begun supplying ultra-fast laser drilling equipment to SLP (Substrate-Like PCB) manufacturers, including AKM Meadville and Compeq. This equipment is intended for use in 1.6T co-packaged optics (CPO) applications.

Previously, these SLP manufacturers primarily relied on CO2 laser drilling machines from Mitsubishi Electric. However, due to Mitsubishi's extended delivery lead time of 12 months, they have started shifting towards the ultra-fast laser drilling solutions offered by HANS CNC.
