Beijing's market regulator has initiated formal legal proceedings against four prominent online hotel and travel reservation platforms.
The Beijing Municipal Market Supervision Administration confirmed on the 19th that it has opened case investigations into Hangzhou Taomei Aviation Services Co., Ltd., Tongcheng Network Technology Co., Ltd., Tujia Online Information Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd., and Beijing San Kuai Information Technology Co., Ltd..
These actions, taken in accordance with the Anti-Unfair Competition Law and the E-Commerce Law of the People's Republic of China, follow prior verification efforts and directives from the State Administration for Market Regulation. The regulator alleges that the companies engaged in activities potentially violating relevant legal provisions.
This development underscores heightened regulatory scrutiny within China's digital travel and hospitality sector.
