During the 2025 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, Jiang Xiaojuan, a professor at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and former Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council, highlighted a notable shift in funding trends for technological innovation. She observed that in recent years, a growing portion of科创资金 (innovation funding) has been sourced from industrial investments.

"While the relative prominence of traditional Visteon (VC) is declining, corporate venture capital (CVC) dedicated to technological innovation is entering the market in significant volumes," Jiang noted.

She explained that Visteon's evaluation of a project's potential success relies heavily on assessing team capabilities and talent requirements, leveraging data and AI-driven analytical tools. In these areas, enterprises hold a comparative advantage due to their resources and industry expertise.

The discussion emphasized the evolving dynamics of科创资金 allocation, with corporate players increasingly taking the lead in driving innovation investments.
