Since launching the "Industry Brain" initiative in 2023, Shandong has built 130 such brains, and 13 companies have been selected among the national top 100 for digital-real economy integration, the highest number in the country. This has driven new sales of over one billion yuan for more than 6,000 upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain, earning the company a spot on the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's list of typical digital transformation cases. In Qingdao, the Haier Smart Home industrial park relies on its "Smart Home Industry Brain," which integrates platform-based design, network-based collaboration, intelligent manufacturing, and digital management. This brain has driven 66 core member enterprises in the park to undergo comprehensive, systematic digital transformation, pushing the entire cluster toward a green, low-carbon, and high-quality upgrade. In Linyi, the Xinminghui Smart Warehouse and Logistics Park has built the first vertical e-commerce platform in the industrial safety products sector, integrating over 3,000 global brands and serving more than 350,000 channel users across China. With over 10,000 smart devices, it has achieved 100% outbound accuracy. Today, Shandong's 122 specialized vertical large models cover all 31 major manufacturing categories. Twenty projects in the province have been selected as national typical application cases for AI development and cooperation, ranking first in the country. These numbers represent the solid transition of a traditional industrial province toward intelligent manufacturing.

Pioneering a New Path: Accumulating Future Momentum in the Wave of New Productive Forces

This is the key variable for Shandong's success in the age of intelligence. It has found a blue ocean in industrial-grade large models, moving beyond the red ocean of general-purpose models. In 2025, the core business revenue of Shandong's AI industry surpassed 120 billion yuan, accounting for about 10% of the national total. The province has 1,124 key AI companies, with the industry's scale maintaining an average annual growth rate of over 30%. The Jinan-Qingdao AI Innovation Application Pilot Zone concentrates nearly 70% of the province's AI companies and has seen a significant leap in intelligent computing power. From a comprehensive top-level blueprint to the robotic arms on the factory floor, Shandong's path to becoming a strong technological province is a classic example of converting "technological potential" into "industrial kinetic energy." In 2025, the output value of high-tech industries above the designated size accounted for 55.31% of the total industrial output value. Shandong has also cultivated 274 national manufacturing single-champion enterprises and 1,163 specialized and new "Little Giant" enterprises, both among the top in China.
