The game's publishing director stated that telling Chinese cultural stories globally is both an opportunity and a mission for this generation of Chinese game developers. As the first martial arts open-world game led by Chinese technology and centered on Chinese cultural narratives to gain popularity in Western markets, "Where Winds Meet" will continue leveraging the advantages of gaming as the "ninth art."
