On December 16, NetEase's martial arts open-world game "Where Winds Meet" (Chinese title: "燕云十六声") announced that its overseas version has surpassed 15 million players within the first month of release. Following its PC version's achievement of over 9 million players in two weeks and ranking second on Steam's best-seller list, the mobile version recently topped the free game charts in 60 markets on the App Store, making it one of the most successful cultural exports from China in recent years.

The game's publishing director stated that telling Chinese cultural stories globally is both an opportunity and a mission for this generation of Chinese game developers. As the first martial arts open-world game led by Chinese technology and centered on Chinese cultural narratives to gain popularity in Western markets, "Where Winds Meet" will continue leveraging the advantages of gaming as the "ninth art." The team plans to optimize compatibility for more devices and implement additional localized languages, allowing global players to immerse themselves in traditional Chinese culture and experience the vitality of Chinese civilization.
