AEC GROUP (08320) announced that the company believes the development of hydrogen-powered vehicle-related businesses holds significant market potential and has decided to seize these emerging market opportunities. The company is currently actively seeking and securing business related to hydrogen energy and other renewable energies. This includes, but is not limited to, providing consultancy services for the use of hydrogen and renewable energy, technical research into hydrogen and other renewable energies, sales of hydrogen-powered vehicles, drones and equipment, their parts and other supporting facilities, and sales of equipment for hydrogen and other renewable energies. Management anticipates that the use of hydrogen and other renewable energies will become a global trend. Leveraging the experience and expertise accumulated by the group and its professionals in environment-related business fields, it is believed this emerging business segment will become another growth driver for the group in the near future.
Furthermore, the company will officially launch a sustainable supply chain consultancy business, initially comprising: (i) sustainable product trading; (ii) providing green technology solutions or products developed in-house or by company partners; (iii) providing integrated consultancy services for sustainable procurement; (iv) green certification for products or building materials; and (v) providing consultancy services for reducing the carbon footprint of products and manufacturing processes. This strategic move transforms the group from a purely advisory firm into a comprehensive sustainability enabler, effectively bridging the gap between strategy and implementation. Many companies have committed to net-zero emission targets but face a "delivery gap"—a mismatch between target setting and finding and utilizing suitable technologies or products to achieve them. The company is committed to bridging this gap by providing seamless, closed-loop services, including: consulting on clients' sustainability needs; providing them with certified sustainable products and green technologies; and monitoring performance using smart IoT and AI-based tools that support environmental, social, governance compliance and green finance needs. This multi-dimensional approach provides the group's clients with a one-stop solution for sustainable procurement and green technology integration, catering to those seeking tangible results rather than just theoretical plans.
Through this new business segment, the group also provides a broader platform for its business partners in the green technology and related products field to expand into the Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area markets. The company expects the new business segment to create a more resilient and diversified revenue source for the group beyond traditional consulting fees. The company's board of directors formally approved the addition of the aforementioned business scope on March 31, 2026. The company also established a subsidiary in China in March 2026, named Gongjian AEC Hydrogen Energy Technology (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd., to implement the new business plans. The company remains committed to business innovation at the intersection of finance, technology, and the environment, aiming to be a pioneer and driver of sustainable transformation in the Asia-Pacific region.
