A meeting was convened on August 11th to formally launch the construction of intellectual property (IP) operation centers for key industries in Songjiang District. The meeting was led by the district's Intellectual Property Administration, which outlined the construction plan and assigned key tasks. Attendees included deputy heads from the district's Development and Reform Commission and the Intellectual Property Administration, as well as representatives from the National Intellectual Property Operation (Shanghai) International Service Platform.

It was emphasized at the meeting that the construction of these IP operation centers is a crucial step for Songjiang to optimize its industrial ecosystem, acting as an "ecological gardener" for local industries. The centers are designed to leverage IP's role in strengthening industrial chains and enhancing efficiency, promoting the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, and fostering a deep integration of technological and industrial innovation. Clear responsibilities were established, requiring each center's construction entity to allocate sufficient resources, with professional service platforms providing robust support. This ensures the effective implementation of tasks such as establishing patent demand databases, building innovation consortia, organizing supply-demand matching events, conducting industrial patent navigation, and facilitating patent transformation projects. Collaboration will be strengthened through regular coordination meetings, led by the district's Development and Reform Commission and the Intellectual Property Administration, to manage IP operations based on the strengths and characteristics of each industry.

During the session, the Songjiang branch of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Protection Center detailed the overall goals, specific tasks, and schedule outlined in the draft "Songjiang District Key Industry Intellectual Property Operation Center Construction Plan." The National Intellectual Property Operation (Shanghai) International Service Platform explained the methods and pathways for providing professional support to the centers. Participating units offered suggestions and feedback to refine the plan.

Currently, in alignment with Songjiang's "2+4" modern industrial system, the district's Intellectual Property Administration and the Development and Reform Commission are planning to establish four IP operation centers focused on 6G future industries, commercial satellite and terminal applications, new energy power equipment, and intelligent optoelectronic equipment. By the end of 2027, the goal is to form a comprehensive IP operation service system, achieving significant progress in promoting collaborative IP development, deepening industry-university-research cooperation, and efficiently facilitating the transfer of patented technologies.
