The newly built main line is approximately 72 kilometers long, of which the Tongxiang to Qiantang section is about 34 kilometers with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and the Qiantang to Shaoxing section is about 38 kilometers with a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. A connecting line from Hangzhou South Station to Xiaoshan Airport Station is about 13 kilometers long with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour. The project is planned to have a construction period of 4 years.
The line will have stations including Tongxiang, Haining Guanchao, Qiantang, Xiaoshan Airport, and Shaoxing North, among which Haining Guanchao, Qiantang, and Xiaoshan Airport are newly built stations.
