CDB Int’l Inv Reports HK$90.73 Million 1H26 Loss as Fair-Value Hits Offset Dividend Gains; NAV Down 9.8%

China Development Bank International Investment Limited (CDB Int’l Inv) released its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2026.

Financial Highlights • Net loss widened to HK$90.73 million, versus a HK$11.68 million loss a year earlier. • Core driver was HK$161.90 million of net fair-value losses on financial assets at fair value through profit or loss (1H25: HK$4.56 million loss). • Other gains rose to HK$76.51 million, largely reflecting dividends from Jade Sino Ventures. • Interest income inched up 4.7 % to HK$5.62 million. • Loss per share: 3.13 HK cents (1H25: 0.40 HK cents).

Balance Sheet & Liquidity • Net asset value fell 9.8 % to HK$838.60 million from HK$929.33 million at end-2025; NAV per share slipped to HK$0.29 (end-2025: HK$0.32). • Cash and equivalents climbed 24.0 % to HK$446.63 million, supported by dividend inflows and asset disposals. • No borrowings; debt-to-equity ratio remained at 0 %. Current ratio strengthened to 5,288 %, while liabilities accounted for 1.01 % of total assets. • No asset pledges, capital commitments or contingent liabilities reported.

Portfolio Movements • Aggregate fair value of the four major holdings declined to HK$390.24 million (end-2025: HK$568.98 million). – Jade Sino Ventures: value fell to HK$27.02 million; HK$63.56 million loss mitigated by HK$76.51 million dividend received. – Meicai: marked down by HK$77.51 million to HK$115.15 million. – G7 Connect: value eased 4.4 % to HK$193.85 million. – J&T Express: value slipped 34.8 % to HK$54.21 million following share-price weakness.

Operational Metrics • General and administrative expenses decreased 11.9 % to HK$10.80 million. • Headcount trimmed to eight (1H25: nine); staff costs fell 22.5 % to HK$2.74 million. • No material acquisitions, disposals, borrowings or litigation during the period.

Governance & Outlook • Board committees were re-constituted on 24 July 2026 with the appointment of Independent Non-executive Director Mr Liu Gangjian. • Management reiterated focus on logistics infrastructure, supply-chain services, advanced manufacturing and new-energy opportunities, while maintaining a “prudent financial strategy”. • No interim dividend was declared.

Auditor BDO Limited performed a review and reported no exceptions on the interim financial information.
