International Entertainment (01009) has announced that following the group's casino operations in the Philippines, NCLI obtained an Electronic Gaming Operator License in February 2025, authorizing it to conduct online gaming activities within the jurisdiction of the Philippines. Since receiving the online gaming license, the group has conducted various feasibility studies and explored potential investment opportunities in the online gaming sector. Recently, the group identified a potential online gaming target. The company is currently in discussions with a prospective online gaming operator. As of the date of this announcement, no binding memorandum of understanding or agreement has been signed between the parties. To comply with the requirements set forth in HKEX Guidance Letter GL71-14 issued by the Stock Exchange in January 2014 and updated in January 2024, the group has engaged Philippine legal counsel to confirm that the potential online gaming business complies with all applicable laws before commencing operations. The group has also appointed a reputable multinational audit firm as an internal controls consultant to review whether the internal control measures implemented for the potential online gaming business and anti-money laundering matters are adequate and effective.
