Yesway Inc.'s stock soared 7.69% during intraday trading on Tuesday, following the release of its first quarter 2026 financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The convenience store operator reported a net income of $30.2 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, swinging from a net loss of $5.6 million in the prior-year period. Revenue increased to $683.6 million, up from $600.3 million a year earlier and beating analyst estimates. Adjusted EBITDA more than doubled year-over-year to $59.2 million, while store contribution increased 72.7% to $74.6 million.
Yesway also introduced its fiscal year 2026 outlook, projecting adjusted EBITDA of $210-$220 million and planning 6-8 new store openings. The company's strong performance was driven by growth across both fuel and merchandise categories, with fuel margin expanding significantly to 49.4 cents per gallon from 35.9 cents a year earlier.
