TIANGONG INT'L (00826) surged nearly 7% intraday, and as of press time, it was up 5.54% at HK$3.05, with a turnover of HK$88.48 million.

Recent policy developments indicate that China's 15th Five-Year Plan proposal highlights forward-looking industrial layouts, promoting nuclear fusion energy as a new economic growth driver. Huayuan Securities noted that powder metallurgy technology will serve as TIANGONG INT'L's foundational platform to enter the strategic new materials and high-end manufacturing sectors, potentially driving both performance and valuation growth.

Nuclear fusion structural and functional materials demand extreme resistance to high temperatures and radiation, relying on powder metallurgy systems. With the global acceleration of nuclear fusion commercialization, the company is positioned to become a core node in the supply chain, with growth potential expanding alongside the industry.

Dongwu Securities highlighted that the blanket is a critical component of magnetic confinement fusion devices like tokamaks, requiring excellent anti-radiation swelling capability, high-temperature strength, thermal conductivity, and inherent low activation. RAFM steel is widely recognized as the most mature and mainstream candidate structural material for blankets. Additionally, boron steel, with its high neutron absorption capacity, sufficient mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance, presents an attractive shielding material.

TIANGONG INT'L has successfully developed core technology for high-boron steel (304B7), a new neutron shielding material for nuclear fusion devices, achieving small-batch trial production. The company is also accelerating the application development of advanced reduced-activation ferritic/martensitic (RAFM) steel, a key structural material for nuclear fusion.
