Cybersecurity company Gen (NASDAQ: GEN) has introduced the "Fearless Planet Index," a continuously updated cyber intelligence hub designed to help the public monitor scams, cyber threats, and identity risks in real time across the globe.

Powered by vast data from Gen's threat labs, the index transforms billions of real-world security signals into a visual map of digital dangers. This allows users to see, much like a weather radar, where threats are emerging, which scams are most active, and how these patterns evolve over time.

Through the platform, users can select a specific country or region to view the most prominent local scam types, malware threats, and identity alerts. Each entry includes detailed threat descriptions and tailored protective advice.

According to data released at the index's launch, phishing is currently the dominant global scam category. In the monitored period of nearly 30 days, the system detected over 120 million phishing attacks. Of the classified threats, more than 80% were scams or malicious ads, rather than traditional malware.

Geographically, North America recorded the highest average digital risk index at 29.6%, followed by Europe at 28.5% and the Asia-Pacific region at 27.4%. In the United States, consumers face the most prevalent online shopping scams, with criminals exploiting fake websites, social media ads, and promotional emails. Meanwhile, multiple European countries are experiencing a rise in online dating scams.

Gen, which owns well-known brands including Norton, Avast, LifeLock, and MoneyLion, provides cybersecurity, online privacy, identity protection, and financial health solutions to nearly 500 million users across more than 150 countries.
