On August 20, Dalian Airport achieved a single-day passenger throughput of 80,440, marking the first time daily passenger numbers have surpassed the 80,000 threshold. This also represents the fourth time this year that the airport has set a new historical record.

Since the start of the summer travel peak season, Dalian International Airport has maintained robust growth in transport operations. Between July 1 and August 20, the airport handled 25,000 flight takeoffs and landings, with passenger throughput reaching 3.748 million. On average, the airport has processed 487 flights and 73,500 passengers per day.

Domestic Routes Expansion

Among domestic routes, Hohhot has seen the highest growth rate, with an average increase of 3.5 additional daily flights, reaching a maximum of 6 flights per day. Chengdu Shuangliu, Guiyang, and Chongqing have each added an average of 2 daily flights, significantly boosting travel frequency. Hangzhou, Shijiazhuang, and Hefei have each increased by 1.5 daily flights on average.

Shanghai Pudong, Beijing Capital, Beijing Daxing, Changsha, Xi'an, Urumqi, and Xining have each added 1 daily flight, with Shanghai now operating up to 25 flights daily and Beijing up to 17. Many other cities including Xiamen, Zhengzhou, Qingdao, Jinan, Kunming, Ningbo, Taiyuan, Lanzhou, Yinchuan, Yantai, Haikou, Changzhi, and Ordos have seen weekly flight frequencies increased by 3 to 4 flights.

The airport has also launched a new route to Dali, operating 4 flights per week, making Dalian Airport the first airport in Northeast China to offer direct connectivity to this destination.

International Routes Growth

New cross-border routes and increased frequencies on popular international flights have greatly expanded travel options for outbound passengers. During the summer season, Dalian Airport has launched brand-new international destinations including Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, as well as Yakutsk, Khabarovsk, and Anadyr in Russia, opening up fresh cross-border travel corridors.

Additionally, frequencies on traditionally popular international routes such as Seoul and Vladivostok have been increased, raising round-trip flight availability to comprehensively meet passengers' diverse needs for cross-border tourism, business travel, and study tours.

Enhanced Passenger Services

Dalian Airport has optimized its service support resources, setting up dedicated check-in counters for special groups including "Northeast Super" tours and study tour groups. Duty arrangements have been rationally adjusted, with all check-in counters and security screening channels fully operational. Mobile service stations have been added to reduce queue waiting times.

The airport has also improved its flight delay information notification channels to ensure accurate and timely communication. Regular inspections of counter service etiquette and the implementation of "first-ask responsibility" and "first-see responsibility" systems ensure that passengers receive warm, attentive, and considerate service at all times.
