CH DISPLAY OPT (00334) announced its results for the three-month period ended March 31, 2026. During the review period, due to tight supply and rising prices in the memory sector, smart terminal brand manufacturers generally adopted strategies to control orders and reduce production. This was particularly evident in the slower inventory buildup for entry-level models, which put pressure on market demand. According to the latest report from market research firm IDC, global smartphone shipments in the first quarter of 2026 decreased by 4.1% year-on-year to 290 million units, ending ten consecutive quarters of growth.
Despite the challenging environment, the group achieved a total sales volume of 18.6 million units, representing a significant 61.5% increase compared to the same period last year. This drove the total revenue up by 19.7% year-on-year to RMB 1.669 billion.
During the review period, sales volume for the group's mobile phone modules increased by 15.9% year-on-year to 10.5 million units, with related revenue rising by 8.1% to RMB 478 million. Sales volume for tablet modules surged by 139.4% to 4.9 million units, contributing to a substantial 119.7% increase in related revenue, which reached RMB 781 million.
To strengthen customer relationships and enhance loyalty, the group implemented a customization strategy. Influenced by this initiative, coupled with intensified market competition and changes in product mix, the average selling price of the group's products (excluding components and other products) decreased by 4.8% year-on-year to RMB 88.7.
