BBSB INTL (08610) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, BBSB Holdings Sdn Bhd (BBSB), entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shantawood Sdn Bhd (SSB) on August 12, 2026. SSB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DPS Resources Berhad (DPS), which is listed on the Malaysian Stock Exchange.

The MoU outlines the preliminary understanding between BBSB and SSB regarding a proposed collaboration (the Proposed Collaboration), under which the parties intend to explore potential arrangements for developing data center facilities on land owned by SSB. The Proposed Collaboration is subject to the successful completion of relevant technical, commercial, and regulatory considerations, the availability and suitability of required infrastructure works, obtaining necessary approvals, and the negotiation and execution of definitive agreements by the parties.

If realized, the Proposed Collaboration may present an opportunity for BBSB INTL to expand its involvement in data center infrastructure construction by leveraging its experience and expertise in bridge and foundation engineering, including potentially applying its engineering and construction capabilities to the design and development of data center infrastructure. This would enable the parties to complement each other's resources and capabilities.

At this stage, the Proposed Collaboration remains preliminary and awaits further evaluation, fulfillment of conditions, and the negotiation and execution of definitive agreements. There is no guarantee that the Proposed Collaboration will ultimately proceed or that the parties will enter into any definitive agreements.
