Notably, in addition to the renaming of Alipay’s payment license entity, the operating entity of the Alipay App—Alipay (Hangzhou) Information Technology Co., Ltd.—has also been renamed "Alipay (Hangzhou) Digital Services Technology Co., Ltd."

In 2023, Ant Group outlined three strategic directions: "AI First," "Alipay Dual Flywheel," and "Accelerated Globalization."
