Prudential lifts stake in Malaysian insurance unit’s parent to 70%

Prudential plc announced on Jan, 30 2026 that all contractual conditions have been met for its purchase of an additional 19% interest in Sri Han Suria Sdn. Bhd. (SHS), the holding company of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad.

Following completion of the transaction, carried out through wholly owned subsidiary Prudential Corporation Holdings Limited, Prudential now owns a 70% aggregate stake in SHS.
