At the 12th China and Globalization Forum held in Beijing on April 26, Wang Huiyao, founder and president of the China and Globalization Think Tank (CCG) and former counselor of the State Council, delivered a keynote address. The forum’s theme was “Innovative Globalization: New Drivers and New Challenges.”

Wang Huiyao noted that the world today is full of uncertainty, making candid and constructive international dialogue more essential than ever. Amid headwinds to globalization, he emphasized that China is at a critical stage of implementing its 15th Five-Year Plan. Deepening high-level opening-up, advancing high-quality development, and actively engaging in global governance represent key strategic missions. “This mission strengthens our resolve to seek cooperative solutions and bridge international differences during turbulent times,” he stated.

Wang Huiyao highlighted that CCG ranks among the world’s top 100 think tanks and is the only Chinese non-governmental think tank with special consultative status at the United Nations. It has been recognized as a leading global think tank by the University of Pennsylvania for five consecutive years. “We remain committed to fostering inclusive global dialogue, building communication bridges across nations and cultures, providing valuable input for global governance, and offering policy recommendations to China’s decision-makers—all with the aim of promoting mutually beneficial international cooperation,” he said.
