BioNTech SE (BNTX) shares tumbled 5.15% during pre-market trading on Tuesday, following the release of its second-quarter financial results that fell short of analyst expectations.
The company reported a quarterly adjusted loss of $2.58 per share, which was wider than the consensus estimate of a $2.34 loss per share. Revenue for the quarter came in at $122.77 million, significantly missing the $182.02 million that analysts had projected and marking a sharp decline from the $295.70 million reported in the same period last year.
