Notably, at the end of last year, both China and the US took critical steps in high-level autonomous driving, marking the substantial progression of L3/L4 commercialization into the implementation phase. On December 15, 2025, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in its 401st announcement, conditionally approved market access for China's first batch of mass-produced L3 conditional autonomous driving models; concurrently, Tesla Model Y Robotaxis operating with Unsupervised FSD appeared on the streets of Austin, USA.
