Total SA has identified hydrocarbons at the Moho license area offshore the Republic of Congo, following the drilling of the MHNM-6 NFW exploration well targeting the Moho G structure.

The well encountered an approximately 160-meter hydrocarbon column in high-quality Albian reservoirs. Extensive data acquisition and sampling were conducted to support subsurface analysis and future development plans.

The Moho G discovery, combined with the earlier find at the nearby Moho F structure, is estimated to hold nearly 100 million barrels of recoverable resources. Development is planned via a tie-back to existing Moho production facilities.

Nicolas Mavila, Senior Vice President of Exploration at Total SA, stated: "This new discovery in the Moho license benefits from its proximity to existing production infrastructure, enabling a short-cycle, cost-effective tie-back development. By leveraging our technical expertise and current infrastructure, we are creating conditions for future value-accretive production for the company."

Total EP Congo operates the Moho license with a 63.5% interest. Partners include Trident Energy (21.5%) and Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC, 15%).

Existing production infrastructure includes the Alima and Likouf floating production units, which currently have a combined output of approximately 90,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (100% interest).
