China's independently developed and built 115,000-ton product oil tanker was officially delivered to its client today, according to industry sources.

The vessel, measuring 249.8 meters in overall length and 44 meters in width, boasts a full-load capacity of 115,000 tons, enough to transport approximately 830,000 barrels of refined oil products in a single voyage. Its strong port adaptability enables it to dock at most major oil terminals worldwide, positioning it for service on key international energy trade routes.

A standout feature of this tanker is the localization of its core equipment, including the engine, which is now domestically manufactured. Paired with a high-efficiency propeller and energy-saving devices, the ship achieves notably reduced fuel consumption during voyages. Additionally, it is equipped with advanced desulfurization and denitrification systems that significantly cut sulfur oxide, nitrogen oxide, and carbon emissions, aligning with the latest environmental standards set by the International Maritime Organization.

The vessel's cargo capacity, cruising speed, and fuel economy all reach internationally advanced levels. Current data indicates that the global tanker order market is experiencing explosive growth in 2026, with Chinese shipyards securing over 80% of new global tanker orders. Domestic shipyards are operating with full order books and have shifted to standardized, serialized mass production, with production schedules already extending through 2030.
