Shares of Spark New Zealand surged 5.02% during intraday trading on Monday, as investors reacted to news of a strategic review of its Digital Services division.
The company announced it is reviewing its Digital Services business and will reorganize into two divisions—Connectivity and Digital Services—supported by centralized shared functions. The review is expected to be completed in the first half of fiscal year 2027. As part of the restructuring, Chief Commercial Officer Mark Beder has been appointed Chief Customer Officer of Connectivity.
The move is seen as a positive step toward streamlining operations and unlocking value in the digital services segment, which drove the stock higher throughout the session.
