XD INC (02400) saw its share price climb more than 13% during the morning session, buoyed by market optimism surrounding the release of OpenAI's latest flagship model.

As of the time of writing, the stock was trading 12.91% higher at HK$45.14, with a trading turnover of HK$241 million. The surge comes on the heels of OpenAI's official unveiling of its new-generation flagship model, GPT-6Astra, which the company describes as "the world's most intelligent and best-aligned model to date."

OpenAI's demonstration of the model's capabilities included completing tax forms, updating customer relationship management systems, managing schedules, building financial models, analyzing scientific data, constructing websites, designing circuit boards, and creating 3D games. Notably, game development company Playco reported that Astra reduced the manual fixes required during game prototype creation by 50% and can generate three playable theme versions from a single foundational scenario.

The market's positive reaction also stems from the impressive performance of GPT-6 in the gaming vertical. XD INC's TapTap Maker platform supports the integration of multiple third-party models, positioning it well to capitalize on these advancements. Analysts suggest that AI's empowerment of small and medium-sized creators could drive the adoption of AI UGC tools like TapTap Maker, as well as low-cost publishing platforms such as TapTap. This trend is expected to support an upward revaluation of TapTap's valuation multiple.
