On September 16, Alipay announced that Ele.me delivery lockers now support the "Alipay Tap Once" feature for food storage and retrieval, which has been deployed in over 40 cities nationwide.

According to the announcement, users and delivery riders simply need to lightly touch the blue sensing ring on the device to complete contactless food storage and retrieval, bringing the interactive efficiency of smart pickup lockers to a new level.

The core advantage of the "Tap Once" feature lies in its simplified operation and efficient experience. When retrieving food, users no longer need to manually enter pickup codes. They can simply unlock their phones and touch the sensing area to trigger the locker door to open, with the entire process taking no more than 3 seconds.
