Deep Yellow Ltd's stock surged 9.44% during intraday trading on Friday, marking a significant upward movement for the uranium mining company.
The sharp rise follows the announcement that Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese signed a deal with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to export uranium to India for use in its nuclear energy industry. This agreement is expected to create new market opportunities for Australian uranium producers.
Other Australian uranium miners, including Paladin Energy and Boss Energy, also saw gains between 5% and 9% on the news, with Deep Yellow experiencing its biggest intraday percentage gain since mid-June.
