The CSOP SK Hynix Daily (2x) Leveraged Product tumbled 18.53% in early trading on Tuesday, mirroring a sharp selloff in the underlying SK Hynix shares as a wave of negative sentiment swept through the global semiconductor sector.

The steep decline comes after SK Hynix's American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) plunged over 7% in the U.S. overnight session, falling below their $149 IPO price for the first time since the company's record-breaking $26.5 billion listing earlier this month. The broader Philadelphia Semiconductor Index also dropped over 2%, with memory chip peers Micron Technology and SanDisk declining in tandem.

Analysts attributed the sector-wide rout to growing anxiety over the sustainability of massive AI infrastructure investments. Reports that Nvidia is pursuing AI-related deals worth over $750 billion and planning financing support for data center projects have fueled concerns about expanding capital expenditure and uncertain future returns across the AI supply chain. Adding to the pressure, the blockbuster market debut of Chinese DRAM maker Cxmt Corporation—which surged 466% on its first trading day—has intensified fears of heightened competition in the memory chip market, directly challenging established players like SK Hynix, Micron, and Samsung Electronics. The 2x leveraged structure of the CSOP product further amplified the downward move, resulting in the nearly 19% intraday plunge.
