YIDU TECH Partners with Beijing Health Data Authority to Launch Joint Lab for AI-Driven Clinical Research Innovation

On September 12, during the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, the Beijing Health Commission's Big Data and Policy Research Center (referred to as the "Big Data Center") and YIDU TECH (02158) officially signed a cooperation agreement to establish a joint laboratory for intelligent clinical research. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Deng Kai, Director of the Informatization and Big Data Division of the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, and Xu Jiming, Co-founder and CEO of YIDU TECH. Guo Moning, Director of the Big Data Center, and Li Jigang, Senior Vice President of YIDU TECH's Government and Medical Business Unit, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

As a public institution under the Beijing Municipal Health Commission, the Big Data Center has long been responsible for research on health and medical big data management standards and technical specifications, as well as the construction of big data platforms, aggregation and integration of data resources, statistical analysis, and application support. It has accumulated deep expertise in Beijing's health data infrastructure, industry governance, and public service systems. Meanwhile, YIDU TECH has dedicated years to health data governance, AI technology development, and industrial application, building substantial experience in empowering clinical diagnosis, medical research, drug and device clinical trials, and real-world studies. The company has also actively participated in Beijing's health digitalization efforts, contributing to the construction of the national health information platform and the national AI application pilot base (medical), with AI solutions extensively deployed in clinical, research, and management settings at multiple core medical institutions in Beijing.

By combining the strengths of both sides—leveraging Beijing's health data foundation and governance experience alongside medical data intelligence and AI application capabilities—the partnership aims to explore innovative models for intelligent clinical research. As a collaborative innovation platform, the joint laboratory will focus on three key areas through the synergy of industry, academia, research, and education: compliant utilization of health medical data, drug clinical trials and medical research services, and talent cultivation in health data and AI. On the first front, the laboratory will concentrate on secure data circulation and value realization, conducting research and practice on policy recommendations, clinical data de-identification and governance, high-quality dataset construction, standard data model development, data annotation and quality control, data classification and grading, and data analysis application management, with the goal of establishing a development and application model suited to Beijing's actual needs. On the second front, the laboratory will zero in on critical stages of clinical research, exploring data-driven empowerment across scenarios such as indication selection and value prediction, feasibility analysis and optimization of clinical trial protocols, recruitment of study participants, regional data-based intelligent quality control, remote monitoring, and adverse event surveillance. Additionally, it will promote collaborative research among medical institutions, universities, research organizations, and enterprises, offering services like data processing, analysis, modeling, disease-specific database construction, and value assessment for real-world studies. On the third front, the laboratory will carry out training and capacity-building initiatives centered on data governance, AI applications, and clinical research, fostering interdisciplinary exchange among medicine, data science, and AI to nurture versatile innovation talent.

Director Deng Kai remarked that both parties should fully leverage their respective resources and strengths, unlocking technological potential while strengthening innovation and scenario application, and simultaneously advancing forward-looking exploration of standards, regulations, institutional frameworks, and processes. He noted that while Beijing's biopharmaceutical industry has a solid foundation, the field of intelligent clinical research still faces numerous pressing practical challenges. He expressed hope that the laboratory would ground its work in Beijing's practical context, confront industry pain points and bottlenecks with breakthrough initiatives, and contribute to the growth of Beijing's biopharmaceutical sector and the global advancement of intelligent clinical research.

Director Guo Moning pointed out that this co-construction of the joint laboratory marks a further deepening of the long-term collaboration between the two parties. Previously, they had worked closely on health data standards and data development and utilization, and YIDU TECH's professionalism, innovative capabilities, and project execution skills have left a strong impression on the Big Data Center. Looking ahead, both sides will continue to play to their strengths, enhance collaborative innovation, and drive the release of health data value along with the deeper application of AI in the healthcare sector.

Mr. Xu Jiming stated that for medical AI to truly advance, it requires not only technological innovation but also a foundation of high-quality medical data, a deep understanding of real medical operations, and validation through clinical and research practice. YIDU TECH will channel its long-accumulated expertise in medical data governance, AI applications, and clinical research capabilities into the joint laboratory's development. Together with the Big Data Center, as well as more medical institutions, research bodies, and industry partners, the company aims to explore novel models of intelligent clinical research, promoting the consolidation and dissemination of experience validated in real-world scenarios.
