Musk Promises That Flying Cars Will Become a Reality

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors, has stated that flying cars will eventually reach the market, a signal Tesla has previously hinted at. A post on social platform X read: "People expected flying cars, but instead we got widespread super-strong AI." Musk replied to this: "You will see flying cars."

This statement evokes Musk's earlier promises about the flying and hovering capabilities of the Tesla Roadster. The supercar's delays have been countless and numerous. Originally scheduled for a debut earlier this year, its launch was postponed to August, and there is still no sign of its arrival. However, this does not mean the project is completely shelved.

One of the most anticipated features of the Roadster was the SpaceX option package: cold gas thrusters at the rear for extreme acceleration, and another set of thrusters facing the ground that could briefly lift the car off the ground, theoretically allowing it to clear obstacles. But for Musk, deploying flying cars is not a simple matter.

As a serial entrepreneur, he is more focused on major projects with disruptive impact. His current most important tracks are artificial intelligence and computing power, along with SpaceX's space launch projects, with the ultimate goal of achieving human multi-planetary survival.
