On October 22, after the market turned bullish on Monday, we refrained from blindly going long on Tuesday due to concerns regarding a "triple top formation". The inability to break through 4380 on three attempts has led to a correction, and a substantial drop following a break below the 4244 hourly low was anticipated. Recently, every time gold has broken a watershed, there has been significant continuation in the trend, thus the ongoing emphasis on the watershed principle: breaking the watershed presents an opportunity to follow the trend.

With a tightening northern wind overnight, gold has depreciated sharply. The price has fallen from the 4380 triple top pressure and during the Asian session today dropped to around 4004. The recent movements in gold have been rapid and volatile, testing the execution and decisiveness of traders. Currently, the technical support and resistance levels are relatively less insightful; it is more about quick reactions and timely judgments in the market, which is why I have continually stressed the importance of watching the watershed position. Based on this position, once broken, it’s a chance to follow the trend.

In terms of specific market movements, after a rapid drop below the overnight low, the price quickly fell to around 4004 before rebounding over 100 dollars. The current price is around 4126, with attention on the next low at 4064 and resistance at 4150. For operations, during the Asian session, a rebound can be anticipated based on 4164. Monitoring changes during the European session is vital; if it breaks below 4164, short positions can be established, while a rise above 4150 can signal long positions. As for short opportunities, there aren't favorable chances at the moment, so one should wait for the price to rise and face pressure before entering shorts based on hourly high points. Operations can consider a long position at 4080 with a stop loss at 4064, aiming for 4120-50; if 4064 is broken, continue with shorts targeting the 4004 low.
